On March 31st, the Steam Empire officially stepped into the community, though it quickly faced backlash across the s/m community after facing several declarations of war. In this post, we will be diving more into SECP’s opening and what led all the armies to declare war.

Steam Empire Opening
The Steam Empire was created on March 31st, 2026, by Yols and Xudo. This marked the beginning of an up-and-coming army led by relatively unrecognized leaders looking to establish themselves within the community. During their opening event, the SECP successfully maxed a total of five troops online, marking the army’s first step toward building its presence and reputation.

Despite their humble beginnings, the army faced slight backlash due to their use of the acronym “SE,” which was already associated with the popular Silver Empire. As a result, different organizations adopted alternative abbreviations for the army to avoid confusion. The CPA organization referred to them as “StE,” while Club Penguin Army League used the acronym “SECP.”

Things Go South
Just the next day, out of the blue, several armies made the decision to declare war on the Steam Empire. The list included the Snow Walkers of CP, the Abyssal Tides, the Pizzaiolis of CP, the XBOX Republic, and the Imposters of CP. The declarations provided little explanation behind the sudden conflict, with most of them only outlining the terms of war rather than the reasons for it.

Things took an even bigger turn when one of SECP’s leaders, Xudo, ended up deleting the server. This came amid growing internal conflict within the army, which had already revealed tensions between the leadership and the active members. In addition, Xudo reportedly behaved in a racist manner, something that several leaders strongly disapproved of and were unhappy with.
Bitter End To The Conflict
At 10:11 AM EST, several armies began declaring war on the Steam Empire. This development prompted SECP leader Yols to leave the army and join the Pizzaiolis of CP as a leader, a decision that reportedly upset Xudo. Shortly afterward, Xudo deleted the SECP Discord server, bringing the army into chaos in a rather unfortunate turn of events. The incident ultimately led to the conclusion of the massive small/medium war, as the Steam Empire shut down just one day after its creation.

Yols Interview
Club Penguin Army League reached out to Yols for more insider info on the events that took place within the Steam Empire.
What led to Xudo ending up falling out and deleting the server? Is there any info you would like to share regarding the incident?
Yols: Well, I was in school at the time, I was looking on discord and got a few messages from Xudo and from Klombe that he wanted to War Pizzaioli of CP. I Said to Xudo that we should wait for war and that I liked Pizzaioli. After that I needed to go to class. So about four hours later I went home and Saw that five armies had decleared war on us. I always look for a way to make Things good between people and looked for what happened. Then I found out that Xudo Said some bad stuff to the people in FV that were also leaders of the armies that decleared war on us, so, I desided to leave Steam Empire and joined Pizzaioli of Club Penguin as leader. As soon as I did, Xudo Saw it and was very mad. He deleted Steam Empire and left anything CPA related. Thats what happened. Or at least with I know.
With SECP shutting down, what are your next plans with Pizzaiolis of CP?
Yols: Well, my desicion of joining Pizzaioli of CP was made very fast becuse I was in a bit of a situation. I Will Stay in Pizzaioli for a while, but I made Steam Empire and don’t want the army to go to waste so I’ll defenetly look for making it again now that Xudo isn’t here anymore.
Any further message to the community?
Yols: I love everyone, but don’t be a bad person. And, Steam Empire will return, but a kinder version.
Kmart’s Interview
CPAL also reached out to Kmart from the Imposter of CP to gain more info from the armies that declared war.
What led your army to declare war on the Steam Empire?
Kmart: I was messaged by a person asking if imposters wanted to join the war and I said yes BECAUSE they had a racist Leader.
How do you think the war turned out with the way it ended?
Kmart: Not very good because I know they are plotting something, I just don’t know what.
With Xudo abruptly vanishing from the community and taking SECP with him, how do you see your army progressing onward from this point?
Kmart: We are probably going to go on a bit of a time out and I will try to help with the other army I have.
Any further message to the community?
Kmart: I LOVE YOU.
With that being said, the Steam Empire saw an abrupt and bitter closure. What initially appeared to be a promising up-and-coming army within the community quickly met its demise due to internal instability and surrounding drama. Meanwhile, the armies that declared war appeared to move on once the conflict had concluded, though many within the community remained skeptical about what the situation could mean moving forward. What do you think about this war? Do you think SECP should have survived longer before shutting down?
