With All Due Respect π
This post will act as a new checkpoint for the future of this league, and frankly, the future of this whole community. I will be going over a lot of points that include events of the past weeks, and of the past several months since CPAL’s reestablishment, as well as who even actually reads this lmfao.

Since CP Army League’s revival in October 2025, after the ugly scenes within the community that saw a lot of bad actors and a lot of horrible repercussions. With that in mind, and the severe inadequacy in management that CPA has been seeing prior, a league was decided to form to fully bring about new and fresh air, which the community really needed after quite a shit year for armies.
Building a league from scratch was far from easy, with hard enough connections as it was and with most of the community obviously supporting CPA org, there was not much wiggle room. However, by God’s good grace, we were able to form a small team and foundation after thousands of talks with army leaders regarding the future of this project. Unfortunately, a lot of people right off the start and even later on said that this idea was fraudulent and that it was “anti-CPA org,” which I found personally kinda funny, as that was like the whole point. It seemed like CPA’s motive to build fans and an audience around their league worked wonders, the same old special trait of having eyes on leagues rather than armies, though I digress.
Despite the heavy backlash, CPAL believed in its cause and its ambitions to make the community fun again. We worked extensively with the army leaders who decided to support us and register in the league. We managed to hold meetings, votes, and decisions altogether with the armies registered, and we always believed armies should come first. Throughout our phases of construction and building up, the hate towards CPAL seemed a little inconsistent besides just being “not being good enough”. Any league won’t be good enough in its first few months, and Exhibit A would be CPA org, even with the support of several major armies and tens of veterans and legends, to be specific. The backlash CPAL faced sort of stemmed from the idea that we are countering the main league, more than why we are doing so.
It remained clear since the start that a lot of entities wanted to keep the CPA org at the top of the pyramid so that the individuals in question continue to have control over army affairs and rules. And once a new league rose up that just could have the ability to conjure army support, then the grasp on how the community operates would be less efficient. So naturally, a lot of people opposed any bit of CPAL existence, and I will dive more into that in just a second.
Instead of glazing useless statistics and achievements our league has done like other exhibits, we will skip timelines to the main point of contention that this post was decided to be made.
Summer came around, and the idea of hosting a legacy tournament was something that CPAL always strived to do, as we missed two chances for either the Christmas Chaos or March Madness cuz of other tournament projects that either took place (Army World Cup in January-February) or did not take place (Operation: Frontlines in November). We were of course ready for backlash again because we knew the nature of the environment surrounding us, and we expected maybe fun and equal rivalry over who gets to host the better Legends Cup. The community was in such a stale and boring state that just the idea of two LCs taking place could have a good effect on armies in terms of any interesting event taking place.
We also believed it could be the right step to have a new separate bracket that sees all the lower maxing armies that cannot max 100+ to compete in a more competitive environment, whilst the top majors would compete much more efficiently with no 100 vs 10 max that could ruin the momentum and fun of the tournament. The main point is that we did not think of “politicizing” or “having power” over the community by just hosting a Legends Cup, like the main culprits in CPA org tried to manipulate armies into thinking so, but instead for more sensible outcomes for all armies.
It was rather a bit ironic, how we were framed for trying to gain power by attempting to host this, while the CPA administration went on to privately message a lot of leaders and armies who were planning, of course, to participate in ours. These conversations were not only patronizing but also turned into straight harassment for those who decided to say no. This gave us even more assurance that CPA never really cared about armies, but rather about having more armies in their super duper cool and rad tournaments, about having clicks and views in abysmally dogshit posts, and about useless obsession with validation and relevancy to the point of holding major announcements over being mentioned in a YouTube video that talks about the bad sides of Club Penguin. π
It would get so bad to the point that my so-called friends would go on to attack me and label me with random allegations simply for trying to do something new. It is very unfortunate how we, as a community, lost our grasp on reality, where we cannot even differentiate between the positive and negative. It is sad to see that mine and my team’s good intentions were mistaken for greed and relevance, but I do not blame the people who said so, as the idea of chasing validity and fame and doing the “right thing” has gotten so common in today’s landscape. The current community of historians and whatnot is so obsessed with upholding rules and principles and what to do and what not to do, to the point that fun and creativity have become so absurd.
The Wiki’s change of rules was very cute I’d rather say, as of course they and CPA would go on to “partner.” The basis of the partnership was seemingly only to further strengthen CPA’s grip over the community, and to assess the new rules under the organisation’s threshold to become a common concept. In other words, the Argentina vs France World Cup finals on who can control and manipulate the community the most. One of the partnership’s main agreements is literally to put CPA on the main front page of the wiki, as well as how major armies are accredited historically from now on. While we were busy with discussions with leaders and how we can further improve our tournament, CPA was busy bending rules and forcing armies to participate in their tournament. And for what?
The tournament was very ready to go forward with, funny enough, it even fell under the correct new rules that the Wiki made for ours not to be deemed legitimate. We would like to give a quick thanks to the Dark Warriors, Shadow Legionnaires, Templars, Fire Vikings, Romans, Magma Clan, SnowWalkers, Abyssal Tides, and Pizzaiolis of CP who were interested in participating. Unfortunately, the Templars were unable to participate at the last second, and we quickly ended up deciding to go forward with a different tournament, as we mutually decided we should not host a major tournament with only one major. I encouraged Midnight that DW should participate in CPA’s LC as we would host an s/m tournament instead with a good basis of armies.
However, CPA were still not satisfied and wanted the s/m armies not to join our tournament as well. Essentially, wanting our tournaments to not go through and have armies leave CPAL, or to further strengthen CPA’s grip on the community by having all armies participate in theirs only, or maybe a mix of the two. It was very interesting to see Bureaucrats and Administrators in the Wiki be so involved in this private messaging with leaders to join CPA’s tournament and leave CPAL’s tournament, a very good example of how the community operates nowadays. A lot of “unbiased” larping but behind the scenes it’s a different story. Of course, and obviously, the pushback of CPAB and CPAJ, despite giving the corporate “though we will still support” after being very clearly against any bit of movement on our side, and that we should just stick to leftover tournaments to proceed.
It is a shame, really, that a new opportunity like CPAL arose to make the community maybe just a little different than what it has become, be so looked down upon. The clear dissatisfaction with the status quo, whether CPA likes it or not, was and still is visible. However, CPAL remained pushed back by every single front and entity that currently holds power in the community for all the reasons mentioned above. The community did want change, and that was very apparent, though it seems like some people remain scared to really step up and support something that’s different. This was made even more apparent when CPA made it clear that anyone in their team who associates with CPAL a lot will be fired and removed. The chokehold that the many entities in modern CPA have over this community makes it very clear that anyone who steps up will be attacked, harassed, and banished, eliminating any chance of real freedom in our community.
With all due respect, while I wanted to work closely with the community to make the change happen, it seems like the community is not yet ready to decide, and unfortunately, may not ever have the chance to decide again after the chance was lost. I would usually continue to make ends meet and waste hundreds of hours of my time in a seemingly dying community, though I have a life now, and frankly, I do not wish to waste it in a lost community full of strict regulations, corruption, and power-seeking motives from people who have nothing going on in their lives it seems.
I have given the full authority for the future of the league to Midnight and Yellow Typer, both really capable and experienced individuals who have done significant work to make a change in the community. With their vast experience in SMAL league, I’m confident there might still be hope for the up-and-rising armies in the community. There might be plans to further bring back SMAL, which I am fully supportive of.
I wanna give my quick personal shoutout to the Shadow Legionnaires and Dark Warriors, and Void Troops early on, for being one of the only armies that really attempted to help push this project off the ground, and being one of the only armies that actually really believed in change and had good ambitions to do so. They all have a good future in this community, and I wish them the best.
With all that being said, I feel sad that it had to end like this, but lowkey at the same time I was looking to leave all this behind for quite a long time anyway but lets keep that a secret! Can’t say I didn’t have fun doing this and all the other passion projects I led like Void Troops in 2025 and the Army of Club Penguin in 2024. I have no regrets in any decision I made since joining this community, and that extends even to this moment with me leaving. I will probably make a post on a different website for a proper goodbye if I feel like it, but this is a formal retirement from Club Penguin Armies.
I still have good hopes that the community can be better actually no I dont why am I lying lmfao. Though I think that CPA org can definitely be a better league under people like Jojo, Kira, and Df and maybe with less people outside the administration putting their nose in everything. There is hope in this community when less weak people are in the big positions as it used to be, and that expands to leaders especially as well. Thank you all and good luck, it’s been Ugly! (pun intended)
