Tropical Rumble I – Date & Information

While the September drop approaches armies, the Club Penguin Army League is excited to unveil the details for our upcoming tournament: Tropical Rumble I.

Rules & Information

  • All participating armies will log on simultaneously, with the pre-battle room chosen at their discretion—excluding the Stadium, Cove, Dojo, and Cave.
  • The tournament will have three room switches at the following times: :00, :10, and :20. At each switch, judges will announce four available rooms with the assigned point value. Armies must choose one room to enter without scouting the others. Once an army has entered a room, they are not permitted to leave.
  • If two or more armies tie in a room, the points will be evenly split between them.
  • At the end of the third room switch, if two armies are tied in points, they will face off in a tie-breaker. This tie-breaker will follow the format of a standard battle, with the judge selecting and announcing the room.
  • The army that earns the most points by winning rooms will be crowned the champion. Trophies will also be awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place runner-ups.
  • Standard CPAB and league rules apply. Dual Enlistment is not allowed.

 

This tournament promises to be exciting and unpredictable, as there will be moments where three armies may clash in the same room, and in rare cases, even four or five could end up choosing the same location. This means that the top three armies might not necessarily be the largest. For instance, the Aliens could move to the highest-point room at :00 and find no competition because everyone else thought it would be too obvious. Then at :10, the Aliens might head to another room where WH and Scars are battling, while the largest armies may have inadvertently chosen the same rooms, reducing their chances of winning. The outcome will depend heavily on strategy and luck.
