The community started buzzing as the Shadow Legionnaires went through a defacement, ultimately hurting the army significantly. In this overview, we will examine the events that led to this defacement and also to AB’s coup.
The Shadow Legionnaires is a prominent Small/Medium army, created by Thunder222 on May 3, 2025. In recent news, SL emerged victorious in the war they waged against the Fire Vikings. During the conflict involving FV and other armies, such as the Abyssal Tides and the Seraphic Imperium, Thunder announced the addition of a new leader known as AB. Following their official victory in the war, SL held a celebration to mark the occasion.
Background
On May 12th, the Businessmen of Club Penguin had a land invasion on Half Pipe. Prior to the invasion, Fruit Salad, a leader of BOCP, suspected that the Shadow Legionnaires were planning to raid the event. Those suspicions were confirmed when a group of SL troops, led by AB, logged on and successfully raided the Businessmen during the invasion. Following the incident, Fruit Salad reacted furiously and officially declared war on SL.
When Thunder222 learned about the raid, he was also upset, as AB had allegedly avoided discussing the operation with his co-leaders beforehand before carrying it out.
Shadow Legionnaires Defacement
On May 15th, Greenvege announced that the Shadow Legionnaires had been severely defaced, with more than 200 members banned and the majority of the server’s channels deleted. Following the incident, SL began rebuilding its organization from the ground up.
In Greenvege’s statement, he claimed that while Zuj0t’s alternate account was responsible for carrying out the defacement, AB was allegedly the only individual known to have access to that alt account.
Shortly afterward, Thunder222 released a post addressing the defacement and exposing AB in the process. In the statement, Thunder explained that AB’s account had been unavailable prior to the army’s US event. He also alleged that AB had previously shown him access to Zuj0t’s alt account, the same account that was later used in the defacement. Thunder further stated that Zuj0t had been forced to go out with friends at the time of the incident, leaving him unavailable to attend the US event.
Actions Taken
Due to a handful of evidence pointing to AB as the main perpetrator, he was couped and banned from the army. Before the defacement, whispers were going around that AB would be couped beforehand for making decisions alone. Some of the people in the community think this is a reason that AB would deface the server, knowing that his removal from leadership was inevitable.
We at the Club Penguin Army League were able to sit and talk with Thunder222 about the defacement that happened.
What prompted you to hire AB into leadership in SL?
Thunder222: It was really the 2 invasions what were called as miracles to us.
What was your initial reaction when you saw that SL was defaced?
Thunder222: I was already woken up, it happened on a Friday which was my birthday at 9am, i already knew AB was going to attempt to deface it and shows how immature even in our newest post he can be. i went immediately in since my birthdays are now usually boring, not really any parties, the gifts that i got few gifts which still pleasured me.

Thunder222: Its gaining trust and building back a community that SL once had.
Do you believe other individuals have access to Zuj0t’s account?
Thunder222: Its just AB.

In addition, we were able to sit with AB to see his point of view on the defacement. Here’s how it went.
After the Shadow Legionnaires were defaced, word came out that it was you who defaced the server. What is your initial reaction to this?
AB: Well my initial reaction was shocked that it happened but to an extent I rlly didn’t care as I’m already couped from the army, why would I bother with it. But slowly it got to the point people started harassing me in dms which made it bad that like why tf am I getting harassed for when I didn’t do shit, and I could barley sleep cuz I had so many texts I had to reply to.
Do you think you were blamed after raiding BOCP’s invasion without informing your co-leaders?
AB: I was def blamed for that and the information that was provided was inaccurate, they said I ADDED him to the gc when clearly I never added him to the gc, and in that exact place he had told us that he was over the age of 13, and this “gif” I sent wasn’t even that explicit as we all in that gc were minors around the same age (not including mythrix as we found out he was underage/or 13 we don’t know, later)
Do you see yourself returning to SL in the near future if the leaders found out it was someone else who defaced their server?
AB: No not at all, I will never return to SL as it’s a similar situation to Legoman and SWAT where SWAT couldn’t advance due to legoman having all power and refusing to give it up, now it’s the same but with thunder, he has all the power and won’t let it advance, he goes behind ppls back to “investigate” others and he tells your staff to stop recruiting while he does this so called “investigation” he is not a trust worthy person to be around, and overall he’s a soft leader, which we should know you can’t be like that in this community. So I will never return to SL if they do or do not stop falsely accusing me for defacing their server
As the legion leaders stated, it was zuj0t’s alt account that defaced everything which you had access to. Do you think other individuals had access to his account as well?
AB: I do believe that other individuals have access to zuj0ts account as he was so willingly to give it to me when my own account was limited, he wasn’t even skeptical about it or anything just gave it with no hassle, so yes I really do think more people have access to that account.

AB: Yw and I did NOT deface SL so stop coming to my dms harassing me about it, and believing false stories, as a lot of these so called accusations can be clarified by me so thxx.
To summarize this up, the Legionnaires were heartbroken after going through a defacement. Based on the interview with Thunder, he’s confident that it was AB who defaced the server, whilst AB swears he didn’t deface the server, and it could have possibly been an unknown figure.
