Fort Ghost Recon Returns to the Community
In an unexpected development across the community, legendary army Fort Ghost Recon returns to the army scene. Following years of dormancy and inactivity as a group, the army officially reopened its doors this week. Read on as we explore what led to this decision and what to expect going forward.

History of the Army
Founded in June 2007 by Elitesof, Fort Ghost Recon (FGR) began as a small force. At first, its growth was slow while Elitesof remained active in the Rebel Penguin Federation. However, once he committed full-time, Fort Ghost Recon expanded quickly. The group first built momentum on Tuxedo before shifting its focus to Tundra. There, it faced a major invasion from a much larger force, an army now known as the Watex Warriors. Although heavily outnumbered, Fort Ghost Recon held its ground and secured a surprising victory. As a result, it earned a reputation for resilience and determination.
In the months that followed, FGR battled several emerging armies for control of Tundra. These conflicts often lasted hours and tested the group’s consistency. Nevertheless, FGR maintained a strong record, reportedly avoiding defeat and recording only a few ties. Over time, internal issues led to inactivity and a temporary collapse. However. the army would soon evolve across future generations 2, 3, and 4. During this period, members such as Shad, Elitesof, and Fido1625 helped shape its direction. Ultimately, they closed doors in May 2012 following leadership departures and inactivity.

Fort Ghost Recon Returns
On April 18, Shad announced the start of Fort Ghost Recon’s fifth generation, with an opening event set for April 25. This new era is led by Shad alongside former Scarlet Republic commander Ghostt, while founder Elitesof oversees the transition. From the outset, the message was clear: this would not be a continuation of the past, but a fresh, more ambitious version of Fort Ghost Recon focused on growth and dominance.
When April 25 arrived, the opening event marked the official return of FGR. Attendance reached 10, and the army was accepted into both major leagues soon after. Building on that momentum, Shad introduced a Fortnite division and outlined plans for regular game nights to keep the community active. As of April 27, three events are already scheduled, including a celebration on New Club Penguin. Taken together, these early moves suggest Fort Ghost Recon is aiming for a more active and community-driven future.

To hear more about their thoughts on the revival, Club Penguin Army League reached out to leaders Ghostt, who declined the chance for an interview.
With operations now underway and a mix of new and returning members, it will be interesting to see how the army develops. Ghostt, having only recently retired, has already stepped back into a leadership role. At the same time, Shad and Elitesof have both returned after years away from the scene. Naturally, questions remain about whether Fort Ghost Recon can adapt after such a long absence. However, with experienced leadership back in place, there is clear potential for a strong resurgence. Ultimately, time will determine whether Fort Ghost Recon can silence doubts and make a lasting impact once again.
