Background / War Progression
On April 13, 2026, the Templars of Club Penguin officially declared war on the Water Vikings after months of rising tensions. The announcement came just minutes after the Club Penguin Armies organization reinstated 1v1 war terms, effectively preventing allied intervention. This rule had long been a point of contention between the two armies, dating back to conflicts such as the Sluttpådawn War in early 2024.
As the war unfolded, the Water Vikings quickly established a dominant lead in the win tally. TCP’s early confidence proved to be their downfall, as they struggled to secure a single victory throughout the conflict. Tensions escalated further with heated exchanges between both sides, with TCP accusing the Water Vikings of relying heavily on veterans. The Water Vikings, however, remained focused on battlefield performance.

Meanwhile, TCP’s activity began to decline significantly. Their maxes would drop from 30+ to around 10-15 by the final stages of the war, further weakening their position. With momentum fully on their side, the Water Vikings prepared for a decisive push, planning invasions of TCP’s remaining servers—Sherbert and Great White—and setting their sights on Jerusalem, TCP’s capital.

Sudden Forfeit
In a sudden and unexpected turn, TCP leader Sidie9 announced a formal surrender by removing the Templars from the CPA map. However, in a highly controversial move, TCP simultaneously declared themselves the unanimous victors of the war. Their statement adopted a sarcastic tone—praising their own resilience while mocking the Water Vikings for their reliance on veterans.

This unusual conclusion sparked immediate backlash from the community, with many criticizing TCP’s self-proclaimed victory as unsportsmanlike. Shortly after surrendering, TCP escalated tensions further by deploying a “bomb” on the Rebel Penguin Federation’s capital, Tuxedo, temporarily disabling its map income for one week.
With that, the now dubbed Fallen Dawn war, one of the most contentious chapters in the rivalry, comes to an end. The Water Vikings have yet to issue a force treaty, though this post will include it once it is published.

Club Penguin Army League reached out to WV leader Lydia for a statement on the war’s conclusion.
Lydia: I think the war was great. I called off of work for every battle and stayed up until 3 am pt to patrol parka. [Further comments asked about the surrender] Yeah hcov oppresses me and thanks Templars for not setting me free : /
With the war now over, both armies set their sights on the next steps forward. The Templars have stated they will continue their expansions on CP Journey, while the Water Vikings will soon celebrate their war victory. How do you think the war turned out? What are your thoughts on the conclusion of the war?
