CPA’s Biggest Blunders: Elmikey’s Coup

Every Club Penguin Armies era has been defined by certain decisions that changed the course of an army or organisation. Many of these decisions strengthened armies, meanwhile, others exposed major rifts within leadership. The CPA’s Biggest Blunders column dives into the choices different community members have made — the misjudgements, power struggles and structural issues that left scars on the armies involved. One of the clearest examples in recent history came in 2017, when Elmikey was overthrown in the Rebel Penguin Federation’s leadership through a coup d’état — a decision that would quickly escalate into many regretting their actions.

The Void Strengthens: Dbsa Promoted to Leader in Void Troops

Following a time of conflict in Void Troops, we now enter into a time of peace, with VT consolidating themselves and their ranks. With this being the case, there is a new face in leadership – Dbsa. We will be exploring his history in CPA, as well as what led him to this point in Void Troops.

Dbsa is a relatively new face to the community, having only joined last year – on July 27th, 2024. He first joined the Secret Service before its eventual shutdown, achieving Staff in Training rank within the army, before proceeding to join the Doritos of Club Penguin, working his way up to Fourth in Command. Following internal conflicts and allegations within the army, he abandoned the Doritos on June 1st, 2025, in favour of the newly opened Void Troops, being welcomed in as Fifth in Command. Dbsa would then proceed to make a name for himself within the army, being an avid recruiter as well as scheduling and leading several events. He earned the rank of Third in Command, then Second in Command. It was in this position he showed his prowess as a leader, picking up the slack after Zekrome left the army during the Void Troops and Templars war.

A Battle During the VT vs TCP War

All of these efforts were recognized within the army, with Logical stating prior to his promotion that Dbsa was an “acting leader” who would be promoted following the conclusion of the war. On November 30th, Dbsa was officially granted that position, inducted as the 10th leader of the Void Troops, now co-leading alongside Apryl, Xdemon and Lawless.

To get better insight into Dbsa’s plans as leader, as well as plans for the future of VT, Club Penguin Army League reached out to him for an interview.

What specifically made you want to pursue a leadership position in VT and has this been a goal of yours for a while?

Dbsa: Yes it has been a goal of mine for a while. I’ve always wanted to lead VT to victory since the start of my enlistment. However my main goal was to help the army as much as possible and not to hold just a rank.
What specifically made me want to lead was looking up to past VT leaders, and as much as I saw them succeed. I wanted to become like them one day, and that day finally became true.

With this goal now achieved, what do you aim to do now in the army – both in the short and long term?

Dbsa: Normal goals
– At least 17-22 Troops per event
– High max [25+] at an Event without visitors
– Hard working staff members and good motivation for them
– Find out about a new way to motivate the staff members to work hard other than the spreadsheet

Goals I’d love to achieve on the long run
– Number 1 on Top ten
– 50+ max
– Winning a tournament

Do you currently see any issues within VT and, if so, how do you plan to resolve them?

Dbsa: I don’t think so not really

And how do you expect to get along with the current leadership?

Dbsa: I’m gonna say this proudly, I don’t think I have ANY problems with the currently leadership, in fact, most of them are close friends of mine and I doubt that I wouldn’t enjoy every second of my time with them

Can we expect VT to change its course, or continue the way it has, under your leadership?

Dbsa: Probably going to change a bit but I don’t think any major changes will be there

Do you have any closing remarks for the community?

Dbsa: I will ban antman from the server on December 5th, 2025, 2 pm Eastern Standard Time

With Dbsa now as Void Troops leader, we see another new, fresh face taking helm in the community. Only time will tell whether he will achieve his goals, but he certainly seems to have the drive capable to do so. Perhaps one day people will speak of his name in the same way they do of all the greats in Armies, we will have to wait and see. Will Dbsa lead Void Troops to greatness? Why does every VT leader want to ban Antman? Will any of them succeed? What do you think is a realistic goal for a leader? Let us know your thoughts in our Discord server!

War Officially Concludes: Void Troops Win Divine Reckoning II War Over Templars

The war between Void Troops and the Templars has officially come to an end, with Void Troops emerging victorious in a decisive 13-0-6à score. In this report, we review how the conflict unfolded and what led to this dominant victory.

Quick Recap

The conflict began when Void Troops requested that the Templars transfer the server Ascent considered VT’s capital which the Templars ultimately refused, prompting Void Troops to declare war. As the war progressed, alliances quickly reshaped the battlefield. The People’s Imperial Confederation unexpectedly broke their alliance with Void Troops and side with the Templars while Dark Warriors and Romans declared their support for Void Troops, strengthening VT’s side.

However, as the war continued, some dramatic shifts occurred among the allies. Dark Warriors stepped back from the conflict, aiming to end any ongoing disputes with the Templars, followed by Justin’s retirement and internal dramas within DW.

War Conclusion

Both armies fought hard throughout the war, with VT holding a dominant record of 13 wins, while the Templars secured 6 wins in total. On November 27, the decisive battle for Jerusalem, the Templars’ capital, took place. The final fight was intense, with both armies arriving in nearly equal numbers. VT secured clear dominance in Room 1, Room 2 ended in a tie, and Room 3 once again saw VT in control. With this performance, VT officially captured Jerusalem, marking their victory in the war.

Club Penguin Army League reached out to VT leader Judy and TCP leader Zez to get their thoughts on their war.

Void Troop’s Interview

Judy: I think its a proud moment for all of us, especially with the leadership being completely different and running straight into a war. Regardless, we knew we, as an army, could do it- and the advisors knew we could do it so it was good to pull it off in the end even when a couple battles got shaky here and there

Judy: Overall I’d say communication and being on the same page. Like I said previously, we had completely new leadership and 2 of 3 came straight from different armies but nonetheless we discussed every move, worked well as a team and planned it out efficiently which went a lot smoother than expected for this kind of change

Additionally, as much as its usually looked down upon, I’ll own it and I’ll say it. The support from our allies during this was incredible and I can’t thank them enough for taking their time to come together with us for this war

Judy: This might be a bit bananas but we’re declaring Jerusalem as the capital and having a great big party on it after a long couple of weeks fighting for it, as we should

Judy: Lowkey I think we said everything we needed to in the war, mostly being that they were going to get clowned on which they did. But I suppose regardless, I’ll credit them for their resilience in the war and also to their leadership for communicating with us efficiently and civilly over the shenanigans going on in Flippers

Judy: Apryl’s getting couped on Sunday, November 30th at 5pm EST

Templar’s Interview

Zez: Mainly sizes, Void Troops had a large size advantage against Templars in lots of these battles.

Zez: Mainly rebuilding for Christmas Chaos.

Zez: I don’t really regret anything, I and Bora did the best we could in this war despite being new to leading/wars. Templars plans on working hard to get the army back up to the top.

Zez: Good war.

Zez: No.

With the war now concluded the Club Penguin Army League congratulates Void Troops on their dominance and well-earned victory. We also extend our respect to the Templars, who fought hard throughout the conflict and showed strong determination.
