Into The Time Machine: Amogus Alliance vs. SWAT

Throughout history, we have witnessed many interesting events take place. We have seen armies come and go. As a result of these events, new ideas and concepts have been introduced, while others have been altered. The past has shaped the army community into what it is today.

In this new column, “Into the Time Machine,” we will explore the history of the army community. Today, we will enter our time machine for the first time and travel back to the year 2022, where we will explore the war between the Amogus Alliance and Special Weapons and Tactics.

Declaration of War

The conflict began on August 23, 2022, when the Templars declared war on the Special Weapons and Tactics. Soon after, the Ice Warriors, Water Vikings, and Help Force followed with their own declarations, forming what became known as the Amogus Alliance.

Each army had different reasons for declaring war, but they shared common concerns: SWAT was harboring individuals linked to the Recon Federation and was mistreating its former staff and veterans. The Ice Warriors accused the agents of attempting to stab them in the back and used their declaration post to announce the end of their alliance.

Water Vikings Invasion of Scoptic

As the war progressed, SWAT struggled to keep up. After nearly two weeks of fighting, the agents remained on the defensive and made minimal efforts to retaliate. They scheduled only two invasions while facing continuous invasions from four opposing armies. Consequently, as their territory shrank, SWAT began searching for a way to exit the war without losing its remaining land.

The Plot

The agents formulated a plan alongside the Strawhats and the Mercenaries. They aimed to exploit loopholes in the server map rules to get SWAT out of the war without losing its remaining land. The plan was for the Strawhats to enter the war by declaring war on the agents. Then, the agents would surrender exclusively to the Strawhats, transferring all their remaining land to them. To prevent the Amogus Alliance from invading the Strawhats and seizing SWAT’s remaining territory, the Mercenaries would declare a one-on-one war against the Strawhats, thereby preventing any other army from declaring war on either side.

Strawhats declaration of war

Ultimately, the war ended on September 4th when SWAT surrendered to the Strawhats. However, the outcome did not unfold as the agents had intended. Instead, the Amogus Alliance challenged the strategy, arguing that it violated the established war terms.

A withdrawal from this conflict (whether withdrawal from the server map, withdrawal from the CPA league, etc.) will be considered as a forfeit of the war

SWAT’s surrender to the Strawhats was considered a withdrawal from the war with the Amogus Alliance. The Amogus Alliance was declared the victor of the war, and SWAT’s remaining land was split among the armies.

Aftermath

Following the conclusion of the war, the Club Penguin Armies org’s Army League Board sought to prevent the use of loopholes on the server map and voted to introduce two new rules, which had a significant impact on the function of the world map.

The one-vs.-one war term was removed following the Mercenaries’ declaration of war on the Strawhats. Its removal prevented armies from declaring war to protect another army’s land. However, the board later voted to allow one-vs.-one wars to occur again.

In addition, the board introduced a rule stating that war declarations and terms would not take effect until the first invasion or battle occurred. This adjustment ensured that all conflicts required active participation before becoming official.

Map rules including new rules

The war between the Amogus Alliance and SWAT played an important role in developing the server map. We will continue to use our time machine to travel into the past and explore interesting historical events. Do you think SWAT’s plan would have been successful without the no-withdrawal term? Could we ever see something similar occur in the future?
