January 11, 2026, saw the Templars of Club Penguin declaring a sudden war and raid campaign on the Void Troops. We look into the past of this rivalry and the reasoning for this war.

The Void Troops and Templars started this intertwined journey in armies when the Void Troops formed on April 27, 2025. At the time, it was simply an alliance built on good faith and mutual dislike . However, the first tensions came in August 2025 with the War of the Divine Reckoning. At the time, some Templars had hostile opinions and talked about Void Troops negatively. Meanwhile, former Void Troops and, more recently, Templars, leader Justin, defaced the Void Troops server. With this combination of events, the Void Troops declared war first, beginning an everlasting cycle of war between the two. This war ended in a 15-0-1 victory.

In September, the Void Troops declared war on the Dark Warriors out of the blue, also led by Justin at the time. This war ended in a no-show from Dark Warriors. Fortunately, both armies moved past this before the next VT and TCP war.
Only a couple months later, VT declared the War of the Divine Reckoning II on TCP. During this war, the Dark Warriors and Romans joined VT. However, after the Romans’ invasion of Puddle, DW pulled out of the war. Eventually, VT won, due to the Templars never invading either the Romans or Dark Warriors and the alliance winning all invasions.

Siege of the Hollow Throne
These fraught tensions, combined with shared pasts, caused both Void Troops and Templars to accuse the other of certain CP Army crimes. This extends to multilogging, for example, which is part of the Templars’ declaration on VT. In this post, they declare the Siege of the Hollow Throne on the basis of multilogging and past name-calling of a Templars leader, Zez. There is an interesting term, however, unseen in many recent wars:
“The Templars (TCP) declares a raid campaign on the Void Troops of Club Penguin.”
Additionally, this declaration is for a mapless war, providing no visible end in sight yet. The Void Troops have yet to mention or respond to this war officially at all, showing there are potential chances they might just decide to ignore since it is an off-map war. This has been a familiar theme in recent months, as off-map wars don’t typically see much action take place.

To gain more information on this breaking war, Club Penguin Army League interviewed Templars leader Sidie and Void Troops leader Apryl.
What is your reasoning /reaction to the declaration?
Sidie: As stated in our post, Void Troops have remained a consistent foe for the Templars over the past year. We did not intend on warring with them so soon. VT’s continuous troop-stealing left us with little choice, and this was only reinforced by the actions of our former advisor who fled to VT on a whim. War does not need justification – this is a game founded on battling – but our mandate is righteous and we will deliver justice by the sword.
Apryl: nobody cared
What do you wish to achieve in this war?
Sidie: We will continue our campaign until we have received their unconditional surrender and an acknowledgement of misdeeds.
Apryl: to win
How do you explain/react to the term, “The Templars (TCP) declares a raid campaign on the Void Troops of Club Penguin.” and how will this affect events?
Sidie: Raids were once a staple of the army community. Until their defeat is assured we will aim to incapacitate the Void Troops entirely.
Apryl: its really boring icl i would have liked a real war
Anything else to add?
Sidie: The Void Troops Century of Humiliation now begins ^^
Apryl: no
With this ensuing raid campaign, there is no foreseeable end to the hostilities between the two armies. While the Void Troops apparently do not care about this declaration, the Templars are dedicated to forcing VT into a surrender. Do you think that an end will ever come to this war? Will the Void Troops attempt to raid Templars events in return?
