As we step into the 2026 benchmark, a series of great opportunities CPAL offers for excitement and competitiveness in the community. The Army World Cup is a new, innovative tournament brought to you by both CPAL and SMAL, in which we are excited to finally reveal.
With the great help of the Small Medium Army League administrators alongside the Club Penguin Army League, we have worked tirelessly to introduce this phenomenal and new tournament to defy expectations. We are super excited to present a brand new never-before-seen format to Club Penguin Armies, giving more fresh air to off-season tournaments. With great feedback by the army leaders, we present the Army World Cup!
Information
The Army World Cup will be a 3-week-long tournament, featuring two groups with a total of four small/medium armies each. As with every group-stage tournament, the armies put in the same group will be facing each other throughout the first week, otherwise known as the Round Robin format. Losing a battle does not mean a knockout, as qualification is earned towards the top two of each group with the most points. Winning a battle will earn you 3 points, tying a battle means 1 point, and losing one means 0 points.
Once the three battles for each army conclude, only the top two armies of the groups will advance to the Group of Death, where only one army will be crowned champion. The same rules apply to the final group, the only difference is that three will be knocked out by the end of the final battles, and only one will win.

Opening Battle: Tuesday & Wednesday
2nd Battle: Thursday & Friday
3rd Battle: Saturday & Sunday
Death Group [January 27th – February 7th]
1st Battle: Tuesday 27th
2nd Battle: Saturday 31st
Final Battle: Saturday 7th
More information regarding each battle and adversary, and the rules, will be released on Tuesday, January 13th, after the groups are finalized.
