Top 5 Moments of The Month – April 2026
April of 2026 will go down as a month that changed the projection of the entire year, with many important and influential events taking place. In this post, we will go over the top five moments of the month that were the most intriguing for the community.

5. Fort Ghost Recon Return
The anticipated return of Fort Ghost Recon, an army created in 2007 by Eliteof, took place on April 25th. This revival saw the return of notable legend Shad, who joined Ghostt in leadership. FGR’s comeback followed shortly after the shutdown of the Scarlet Republic, highlighting a close connection between the two armies. This new chapter has been dubbed the Reclamation Era, signalling a renewed effort to rebuild Fort Ghost Recon’s legacy.
During their revival event, Fort Ghost Recon reached a peak of 10 troops online. They went on to place 12th during revival week, marking a decent return to the community. While their re-entry has been low-profile, the army remains focused on steadily rebuilding and carving out its path forward

4. Shadow Legionnaires & Fire Vikings War
Both the Shadow Legionnaires and Fire Vikings are reputable small/medium armies within CPA. Their presence in the community involves significant strides in warfare and politics, as seen on April 10. The Shadow Legionnaires announced a declaration of war on the Fire Vikings, dubbed Operation: No Fireplace. This comes after alleged troop-stealing attempts by Cyber after the shutdown of Dark Pirates, in which he was doing in favour of the Fire Vikings.
Several battles were scheduled between the two armies, with only four taking place and the Shadow Legionnaires winning each one. On April 11, the Abyssal Tides had declared war on SL in support of the Fire Vikings. One battle between ATCP and SL ended in SL’s victory, after the Tides failed to reach the required minimum. The Seraphic Imperium also declared war on April 12 on SL, though with no confirmed battles taking place.

Things took a strange turn during this war, as a temporary ceasefire was signed. The reasons were due to potential miscommunications with Club Penguin Army Judges, as Head Judge Spotty stated. War would resume on May 4th, marking the continuation of this intriguing war. The war score as of today stands at 6-0-1 [W/T/L] in favour of the Shadow Legionnaires.

3. Coolguy Retires From Dark Warriors
Coolguy is a notable leader and veteran within Club Penguin Armies, joining in 2011. Known for his affiliations and achievements with many armies, such as the Army of Club Penguin and SWAT. His recent involvement with the Dark Warriors showed great success after his huge involvement in their revival in July of 2025. The Warriors were able to achieve significant strides in the community, winning tournaments and rising to Major status.
Coolguy would end up being awarded the small/medium legend status in the Legends Induction of 2025. His departure from the Dark Warriors would be left shallow, as on April 20, his roles within the army would be abruptly removed. Soon enough, a retirement event would take place to honour his work and dedication to this generation of DW. The event would hit a total of 34 troops online, solidifying his status as a well-respected veteran within the community.

2. Army of Club Penguin Wages Raid War On Templars
On April 28, the Army of Club Penguin initiated the Spring Offensive, a raid war against the Templars. This conflict stems from already existing tensions after the Water Vikings‘ war, as well as from their last war in early 2025 during the Evergreen Gambit Wars. The ACP let their intentions be well known in this declaration, and that is to kick the Templars completely off CP Journey. Many impromptu battles took place on CPJ, displaying the two armies clashing in an og-style battle.
Although there is no legislative system to judge or affirm the winner of these battles, a lot of the community agrees that the Army of Club Penguin is ahead significantly in the war. The Templars made a couple of posts to respond to ACP’s allegations made, calling them out for their dishonourable misconduct.

The war sees no end in sight as of May 5, as the ACP deployed many troops to patrol CP Journey and their servers. The Templars do not seem to be intimidated, as they continue to host rogue events regularly. Any further huge developments on this war will be reported in a future post.

1. Water Vikings vs. Templars War
The classico rivalry of CPA between the Water Vikings and Templars saw significant developments in April. On the 13th, the Templars had waged war on WV after months of rising tensions. The declaration was initiated minutes after the CPA organisation reinstated the 1v1 terms, as we later learned it was a manoeuvre following suspicions that the Army of Club Penguin could declare on TCP.

The Water Vikings had gained a quick, significant lead in the war, toppling the Templars just a few days in. Many altercations were present between the two armies, through posts, drama unfolding, and back-and-forth arguments. The war would end with the conditional surrender of TCP, which would proclaim victory in the war.

The outcome of the war resulted in huge political shifts in the community, as the Templars bombed the Rebel Penguin Federation’s capital, Tuxedo. On April 22, the Water Vikings imposed a force treaty on TCP, named the Jerusalem Sanction, signifying the complete end of this saga.
We saw amazing shows of valour and competitiveness between giants during April of this year. The significant shifts in the political sphere, as well as the return of many armies, the changes in leaderships, and most importantly, the fun the community witnessed from all these moments during the month.
