The event-filled month of March 2026 has officially come to a close. We witnessed many significant moments throughout the month. Let’s take a look back and reflect on the Top 5 Moments of the month.
5. Dark Pirates Revival & Closure
Coming in 5th place in our Top 5 moments is the Dark Pirates revival and closure. The Dark Pirates are a well known small/medium army, founded by Ninja Leader and Tide on April 10, 2023. Throughout the army’s first three generations, it established itself as a strong s/m army and achieved incredible feats.
The army returned for its fourth generation under the leadership of Shazam and Siri. They officially opened their doors on March 21, where they reached a maximum size of 23 at their revival event. From the outside, things looked good for the army; however, it suffered a defacement, and due to internal drama, Shazam departed from the army’s leadership. The army announced its shutdown a couple of days later.
4. Scarlet Republic Closes Its Doors
Coming in 4th place, we have the closure of the Scarlet Republic. The Scarlet Republic was founded by Ghostt and Imvge and officially opened its doors on January 12, 2025. Since its opening, the Scarlet Republic established itself as one of the top small/medium armies, engaging in several wars, including those against the Rebel Penguin Federation and the Army of Club Penguin. The army also went on to win the Frost Frenzy tournament and reached the Around the World Cup II finals.
On March 21, Ghostt announced on the Scarlet Republic Discord that the army would shut down. The leadership explained that they did not want to pressure members into creating accounts and attending events. Instead, they wanted to preserve enjoyment within SR while also addressing safety concerns in the Club Penguin Army community.
3. Dark Warriors Achieve Major Status
Next, in 3rd place, we have the Dark Warriors achieving major status. Ambrosha established the Dark Warriors on October 21, 2007. Over time, they built a legacy through numerous conflicts and tournament victories, including Christmas Chaos and the Champions Cup. As a result, many consider them one of the greatest armies of all time.
The army returned to the community on July 5, 2025, under the leadership of Coolguy, Holo2, and Subzero. Soon after, Justin joined the leadership. In August, Holo announced his retirement, and Salah and Midnight joined the leadership. They went on to win the Summer Blitz tournament and became October Horrors S/M champions. The army later engaged in a war alongside the Void Troops against the Templars but eventually withdrew. They then went on to reach the Christmas Chaos S/M Finals. On March 1, after nearly eight months since their revival, the Dark Warriors achieved major status, marking an incredible feat for their current generation.
Following their achievement of major status, Holo2, the generational founder of the Dark Warriors, returned to the army’s leadership to lead once more.
2. Spectre’s Retribution War | Several Armies vs. Teutons
Coming in 2nd, we have the Spectre’s Retribution War. The war began on March 8, when the Teutons declared war on the Phantom Republic after receiving word that they were planning to raid them. Following the Teutons’ declaration, the Fire Vikings, Crimson Sovereign, and the Abyssal Tides joined the side of the Phantom Republic, while the Romans independently declared war on the Teutons.
After over a week of invasions, the Phantom Republic declared victory, issuing a forced treaty, with the war score ending at [5–0–1] in favour of the Republic. The Romans’ war continued, and after emerging victorious in five battles, they also declared victory.
1. Army of Club Penguin Win March Madness XI
Finally, in 1st place, we have the Army of Club Penguin, winners of March Madness XI. Oagalthorp founded the Army of Club Penguin on September 30, 2006, and many recognise it as the first Club Penguin army. Known for its clover theme, the army has built a reputation as a powerhouse and consistently ranks among the greatest armies of all time.
Despite its clover theme, the ACP spent many years attempting to take home the March Madness trophy. However, despite their efforts, they were never able to claim it. The Army of Club Penguin never gave up and continued to persevere.
On March 29, ACP battled the Rebel Penguin Federation, reaching an astonishing total size of 129—their highest in years. After a hard-fought battle with the RPF, ACP emerged victorious with a score of [2–1–0], taking home their first-ever March Madness title.
We witnessed many historic events take place in March. We saw armies rise and fall, while others went on to achieve impressive feats. We’re excited to see what the month of April will bring. What was your favourite moment from March?
