After a long hiatus, the Dark Pirates have officially announced their return to the community. With new leadership and renewed ambition, the Pirates aim to make a lasting impact once again. Let’s take a deeper look at their history and what lies ahead.

First Generation: Golden Origins
The Dark Pirates were founded on April 10, 2023, by Ninja Leader and Tide, shortly after the shutdown of the Baseball Team of Club Penguin. From the outset, the army established itself politically, engaging in conflict against the Dark Vikings alongside the Sapphire Concordat, while also forming alliances with groups such as the People’s Imperial Confederation and the Elite Guardians.
The Pirates later declared war on the Penguins of Madagascar, but internal instability led to a difficult defeat. Following this period of turmoil, the DPC officially merged into the Special Weapons and Tactics in August 2023.

Despite their early struggles, the first generation of the Dark Pirates proved notable. Their ability to remain politically active—initiating wars, forming alliances, and maintaining presence despite internal challenges—stood out as a key strength.

Second Generation: Harsh Climates
The Dark Pirates returned seven months later. On March 16, 2024, Ninja Leader announced the beginning of the second generation, following a series of teasers earlier in the year. This revival coincided closely with their first anniversary, celebrated on May 6, 2024.
Soon after, they entered a fierce war against the Winged Hussars. However, the conflict ended in a decisive defeat, ultimately leading to the army’s downfall.
As with their first generation, the Pirates chose to merge to conclude operations. On July 12, 2024, they merged into the recently revived Secret Service—an army that would later gain prominence leading up to the revival of the Doritos.

Third Generation: Fallen Project
The third generation began on December 27, 2024, marking the return of Ninja Leader and Tide, alongside new leader Shrekkks. Momentum quickly built, especially with the Fire Vikings merging into the Dark Pirates in hopes of elevating them to major status.
However, leadership instability soon emerged. Following internal changes, Yellow Typer—then Captain in Training—assumed control. Despite these setbacks, the Pirates remained active, engaging in wars against the People’s Imperial Confederation and the Weeknds.

This generation proved short-lived. A difficult war against the PIC on January 29 dealt a major blow, and on February 15, 2025, Ninja Leader announced a hiatus due to inactivity and internal struggles. A planned return in May never materialized, remaining on the drawing board for a while.

Fourth Generation: New Beginnings
With a history marked by resilience and repeated comebacks, the Dark Pirates have once again set sail. Their fourth generation officially launched on March 21, 2026, following teasers released on March 11 outlining new systems, goals, and leadership.
This time, leadership has passed to Cyber and Siry, signaling a fresh direction for the army. Additionally, the Cryo Vanguards have pledged their full support, merging into the Pirates in a move reminiscent of past alliances like the Fire Vikings.

With new faces on the captain’s deck and a fully ready team on the ship, the Dark Pirates appear poised for a promising future. Their revival event saw them max 23, a strong start that suggests this generation could be one of their most successful yet.

Club Penguin Army League reached out to Dark Pirates leader Cyber on their revival and the future of the army.
The Dark Pirates have experienced numerous highs and lows throughout their three-year history, facing challenge after challenge along the way. Despite this, they have consistently demonstrated resilience and a clear determination to establish themselves as an undeniable force within the army community. Their future remains uncertain, as they continue to be one of the most unpredictable armies on the scene. The question now stands: can the Dark Pirates sustain long-term success, and who might they face in their next conflict?
