The legendary Dark Warriors forge history by rising to the major status once again. This comes after significant recent growth not only internally but also externally, with the recent comeback of Holo to the helm. We will be finding out what led to his return, as well as DW’s path to major this year.
The Dark Warriors have been a staple of the community for over 18 years. Founded in 2007 by Ambrosha, the army has a history rooted in glory. In 2020, the army shut its doors, but the Warriors made their return in 2025 following long-term decisions with various legends and veterans. DW reopened its doors with Coolguy, Holo, and Subzero taking the helm, with Justin joining the leadership team soon after.
The army spent a great deal of time as a prominent S/M winning CPA’s Summer Blitz tournament against contenders Scarlet Republic and the Romans. In August, leader Holo departed, handing off the helm to Salah and Midnight ahead of the upcoming October Horrors tournament. DW became the s/m winners of the tournament after defeating the Peoples imperial Confederation in a fierce battle, once more securing another tournament. In December, DW competed in the historical Christmas Chaos tournament, and although they lost to the Army of Club Penguin, they got to compete in the s/m finals, where they unfortunately lost to the Templars.
In 2026, DW sought to forge new beginnings within the community, allying with both the Templars and, later on, the Aliens, highlighting further growth in the army community. In March, Holo announced his return to leadership once more, pointing towards a possible golden era for the army. This last week, DW finally moved up to major, displaying their dedication since opening, and showing a significant leap in their modern history.
Club Penguin Army League reached out to Holo for an interview on his return to the Dark Warriors leadership.
What motivated you to return to Dark Warriors after your break?
Holo: I am incredibly proud of the efforts applied and the accomplishments acheived by the Dark Warriors since my absence, seeing such a positive rising of the Dark Warriors, created a desire to return and provide my help where it may be needed as the Dark Warriors continue to make a serious push into the Major Army Category!
When you came back, what was the first thing you wanted to fix or improve in the army?
Holo: When I returned one of the key things I tried to help improve was event variety, helping to organize a list of themes and event types to bring a multiude of event options, which was something that was in the works previous to my return!
Now that Dark Warriors is a Major again, what are your next goals?
Holo: I mean I feel as though deep down, everyone has the desire to see a beloved army return to the Top, the Number One Position in the Top Ten, its a challenge, its up hill, its not easy, but its a reachable goal that we strive to earn again some day!
How do you prepare your army for major battles or tournaments, particularly March Madness?
Holo: It takes a lot of scheduling, organization, planning, training, teaching, practice, consistently, and a lot of it.

How do you feel about DW’s rise to the major once again?
Midnight: I feel our rise to major is a big step forward for this generation. DW is historically a major army. It is getting closer and closer to where it is meant to be, the top.
With big challenges on the way as a major army, how does DW plan to move forward?
Midnight: We will overcome any challenge. Being a major is very different from being an S/M, the larger the army, the more difficulties will arise. We’ve been working on introducing new ideas/concepts and improving any areas with issues to ensure DW continues to run smoothly.
Can we expect DW to partake in large-scale wars soon?
Midnight: Potentially. We’re still a small major compared to the rest. We still have a lot of work to do if we want to compete with other majors.

Midnight: Burn The Light
Despite their struggles last year, the Dark Warriors are entering an era of growth and success, led by many legends in our community, ensuring a bright path forward. Their track on the Top Tens also remains apparent, in various weeks ranking higher than very prominent major armies. It is clear that significant work is underway to restore the army’s golden age. With big challenges on the way as a major army, the leadership does not plan on backing down now. How do you think DW will adapt in the future?
