Top 5 Moments of the Month – February 2026
February has seen many significant moments within Club Penguin Armies, despite how short-lived it felt. We will be looking back at the Top 5 Moments of this month, marking a significant leap for many armies and people.

With the unification of the Club Penguin Army League and the Small Medium Army League, we have decided to adopt a more robust method for determining the top moments of each month. There will be no public vote to decide which moment of the month is more significant. The CPAL administration will carefully choose the Top 5 Moments.
We care significantly more about making our organisation a hub for accurate information, despite the nature of these rankings being very subjective. We will rank these top moments based on their impact and recognition within the community. Without further ado, we present the top five moments of the month!
5. Stevos Inducted as Water Vikings Commander
Coming in fifth place in our Top 5 Moments is Stevos induction as Water Viking Commander. Stevos is a widely known figure in the army community, most notably the Rebel Penguin Federation. Originally joining armies in 2019 within the ranks of the Army of Club Penguin, Stevos served as a long-standing member in the community. His role as a vital individual in many army positions throughout his career gave him a strong and honorable reputation within the community.
Just August of last year, he joined the Water Vikings. Despite joining as a Staff in Training, his presence grew larger within the ranks of the Vikings. Stevos helped sustain a great legacy for the army that continues to this day, and many noticed his dedication. On February 14th, Aaronstone officially announced his full endorsement of Stevos as a Water Vikings commander, a key turning point in the army’s history and future.

4. Fire Vikings Announce ‘Golden Age’
The Fire Vikings have been making pivotal moves in the community, serving as an up-and-coming powerhouse S/M army. Their first steps in the community came in November of 2024, under Yellow Typer. The army were a mainstay within the community across the year, yet announced its closure on November 22nd, 2025. Their absence would not last long, as they shortly announced the start of their second generation on February 4th, 2026.
Under the leadership of Zuj0t and Pain of War, the Fire Vikings executed many outward moves. From participating in the Army World Cup, to two armies merging into them – the army has been very active. These merges and uptick in activity gave the army a slight boost in performance, as they announced their ‘Golden Age’ to label their quick rise from nothing to what they are today. Their leaders remain very ambitious and are planning to carry on this hype train to further grow the army.

3. Void Troops Announce Shutdown
The news that shocked many in the community and hitting number three in the Top 5 Moments of this month. The Void Troops had announced a shutdown right after their last battle in the Army World Cup. Created by Logical and Kyle104, the formidable Void Troops had seen great heights in 2025. This army would go on to face many challenges through its first generation, most notably their defacement early on and the many wars they participated in.
As they transitioned between leaderships, growth in the army quickly diminished as the Void Troops saw a drop in activity. This continued until February 5th, as Justin announced that the 1st generation will come to an end after their last dance in the Army World Cup against the Romans. Despite losing their final battle, the lasting impact and history accomplished over the last year will be remembered.

2. Romans Win Army World Cup
During the Army World Cup tournament, many armies competed vigorously to win, especially in the death group battles. The Romans were an army that saw a large rise in between this tournament. Taking on several strong small armies such as Shadow Legionnaires and Scarlet Republic, with the empire remaining victorious in both. This continued until the very last battles, with very close and exciting battles that took place. Romans remained untouched until the very end, defeating Void Troops to be crowned tournament champions.

The Romans were the clear underdog of the tournament. Many people predicted they would not even advance to the last phase. Their clear dedication and fierce work during the tournament, motivated them to grab their first trophy of this generation. We would like to congratulate them once again on this impressive feat.

1. SWAT Cease Operations
The biggest shock for many and achieving first place in our Top 5 Moments is the shutdown of SWAT. The Special Weapons and Tactics have been a key-component to the army community for a long time. Despite relatively small sizes, they remained active as a public enemy towards various armies, especially the Army of Club Penguin. More recently, this long rivalry was reignited one last time, with both armies battling for Mammoth one last time. SWAT shutting down will leave a void in the political landscape of the community, one left hard to fill.

This war ended very quickly, though it ignited long and impactful discussions behind the scenes for SWAT, mainly due to its unstable state and legacy fully tainted as described by guardian Domsamillion. This fall seemingly began after the conclusion of World War IX, following the defeat of SWAT’s alliance and their allies. With a lack of confidence in the next leadership, the army fell into a huge problem of managing SWAT with such a large legacy felt behind, while Legoman remains an active figure as a guardian. Several obstacles were faced along the way, including a defacement in early 2025 and a mass exodus that resulted from numerous internal conflicts in late 2024.
All this led to the eventual decision to finally let this army be put to rest. Despite SWAT’s stained legacy throughout these years, their ability to continue to operate is seriously impressive. Through thick and thin, regardless of the previous years, SWAT’s records as a powerhouse army will remain a staple of this community’s history, and we hope to see SWAT return much stronger soon. [More on this topic in a post later today]
