The Void Troops Announce Shutdown!

The formidable Void Troops shockingly announce closure right after their final battle of the Army World Cup. We will explore more on why this shutdown came to be.

The Void Troops is a well-known S/M army, under the creation of Logical and Kyle104. On their opening event, they maxed a size of 17 and immediately began their war campaigns on many armies such as the Doritos and Special Weapons and Tactics. The Void Troops were able to establish themselves as a well-decorated army in the S/M scene.

Soon enough, internal turmoil hit the VT headquarters, as a huge defacement took place that destroyed the army and its server. This setback did not take long, as Ugly was promoted to leadership in the midst of the incident to bring the army back together with the rest of the team. This ended up being the case, as Void Troops carried on operating bigger than ever under Logical, Antman, Kira, and Ugly.

In recent terms, the Void Troops participated in the co-hosted Army World Cup, which saw many strong S/M competitors. VT were one of the favorites to win the tournament, though a huge rise in the Romans during the competition brought a lot of surprises. Although VT was able to qualify to the last stage, they were unable to compete amongst the other armies and fell short. This tournament was clearly a wake-up call for VT to undergo many internal changes, as they have done so by shutting down their 1st generation.

Void Troops vs. Romans, Army World Cup

We at Club Penguin Army League were able to reach out to Kira, a VT leader, to learn more about their shutdown.

What was the primary catalyst for the shutdown, and were there any options considered that might have allowed the army to stay active?

Kira: Alot of VT members are older and have irl commitments to focus on, i think that hiatus is good as it gives everyone time to not only rebuild (and deal with their real life commitments) and how we were running was not sustainable, so i believe this was the best case option.

What advice would you give to the next generation of leaders looking to make a mark in the army community?

Kira: Have fun with it! some of vts best months was literally just me and the rest of the team enjoying our time in the community.

How do you want the community to remember the Void Troops’ impact on the S/M (Small/Medium) army scene?

Kira: VT was always a war-driven army and i think creating that activity in the s/m community proved that anyone could war.

Is there anything you wish the community or your former troops understood about the challenges of leading the Void Troops?

Kira: Times get rough sometimes and thats ok. i think thats what some people need to understand, armies often get worse before they get better things happen.

The Void Troops do show plans to return to the community in the near future, though only time could tell. Regardless of any recent setbacks, the army will be seen as a huge staple that brought back war culture in an era where it was deteriorating. Will the community witness a second generation? What will we see from VT next?
