The community once again sees another news drought, as we enter tournament season and there is not as much action or changes in the outer community. We will be looking through some developments in various sectors in the community, showing where the community stands at currently.
Legends Inductions 2025
On December 20th, the Legends Committee officially announced the legend nominations for the year 2025. DMT mentioned in his post that the community nominations will go back to how it used to be in 2022 and prior, as voted on by the committee. What it means is if any nominee passes 55.5% yes votes, they will be given the +1 community vote. It was also mentioned that Orange will abstain from his Committee Head role due to time constraints, and that Iceyfeet1234 will take his spot for this year.
The nominations this year are noticeably fewer in number, with only 8 major nominees compared to 13 last year. However, the S/M nominees see higher numbers, with 8 nominees, compared to 6 last year. Additional votes between the committee were also present, regarding the nominees, Ugly and Logical, being put in separate categories as the post goes in detail about it.
The stakes are high this year, and very few people are favorites to be inducted. With this year being seen as slow for many in terms of warfare, it would be difficult to predict who might be inducted. Though there are some heavy contenders this year, such as BestPenguin, who have high chances in being inducted. Best of luck to all nominees this year!
Christmas Chaos XV Finals Set
After some extraordinary battles in the Semi-Finals, the Christmas Chaos XV final stage is set. On Saturday, December 20th, both the Aliens and Water Vikings clashed in a heated battle to obtain the finals ticket. These two armies are not unfamiliar with each other, as they have faced each other various times in tournaments and battles before, such as the October Horrors and some practice battles. The Aliens were announced as the semi-final battle winner and officially advanced to the finals.
The Army of Club Penguin vs. Rebel Penguin Federation was arguably the battle of the tournament thus far, as the two giants marched to the battle with everything they had. Despite the heavy odds and predictions on an RPF win, the Clovers put up an incredible fight and pushed the battle to overtime. ACP was seen to have the slight size advantage and performance in many parts of the battle, however, RPF managed to take the lead in formations and covering that got them the upper hand, ultimately winning the battle.
The finals are now set, and the Aliens and Rebel Penguin Federation meet in the finals once again. We have seen the two battle in the Legends Cup XIV finals, with RPF taking the lead. Though Aliens will not let it go so easily this time around. Both armies have equal odds to win the Christmas Chaos XV, with the finals scheduled for Saturday, January 3rd, 2026. There will be an additional S/M finals battle same day between all of the Templars, Dark Warriors, and Romans in a 3-way battle, as they were the last S/M armies to be knocked out. CPA World Map Release
This new innovative proposal by Club Penguin Army League and Small Medium Army League came to life on December 14th. As the two unified their maps, the CPA World Map was officially solidified as an independent entity for map activities, offering many visionary ideas that keeps wars and expansions very classic and modern at the same time.
The biggest takeaway from this project is the adjacent land rules, as well as seasons every four months, with the inclusion of a new map with each new season. There has been a lot of great and positive feedback towards the World Map, as a total of 9 armies have marked their capitals on the map. Many armies have already begun their expansion on the map, such as the Special Weapons and Tactics and Scarlet Republic.
Despite the lack of news, the community is still making moves in a lot of different way. Currently, all eyes are on the Christmas Chaos finals battle, though right after, we could potentially see more action pop up as we close out of the tournament window.
