The Water Vikings appointed Lydia, a long-serving and vital member, as their new Viking Commander on November 8th. This post investigates the events leading up to her promotion.

Prior Experience
Lydia brings a wealth of experience to the role. Her journey began in 2019 with the Doritos, followed quickly by a move to the Ice Warriors. She later joined the Templars, where she achieved the rank of Leader in Training. The year 2021 marked a significant step when Lydia joined the infamous Underground Mafia Army, quickly rising from High Command to Leader shortly before its closure.
Following a brief hiatus, Lydia returned to the community, leading various small and medium armies. Her commitment to the Water Vikings deepened over time. She served intermittently under leaders Dino, Cabin, and Mabel, before solidifying her role as a permanent member earlier this year.
Sailing into Frostbite
For the past ten months, Lydia’s unparalleled loyalty and dedication have made her an integral cornerstone of the Water Vikings’ success. Lydia has stood by the Vikings through a myriad of success, such as in their victory in Candy Crusher Brawl this February, and multiple wars.
Consequently, on Saturday, November 8, she was promoted to Viking Commander, announced by her now co-leader Mato.

Club Penguin Army League reached out to Lydia for an exclusive interview about her promotion.
Having been an integral part of the army for months, how did it feel to finally be officially inducted as Viking Commander?
It feels nice, my hard work paid off and now I can work even harder in areas I wasn’t really able to before.
Looking ahead, what is your primary goal for the Water Vikings over the next few months, and what can the community expect?
My primary goal is to live laugh and love with everyone inside of wv, maybe world domination soon
Is there anything you would like to add?
We will have a rebrand soon and turn brown!
Lydia is evidently a crucial new asset, and her induction into Command promises great things. As a confident leader who consistently prioritizes the Water Vikings and effective leadership through communication, the army’s potential under her guidance seems limitless. This begs the question: How will her tenure be remembered? Will she ascend to the ranks of the Vikings’ most legendary Commanders? What new heights can we expect the Vikings to reach under her leadership?
