The Sun Finally Sets: Moon Announces Retirement From TCP

Soon after the promotions of Zez and Borapenguin to Grand Prior, Moon decided to hang up her coat for one last time and step back from leadership. We will be reviewing the achievements she gained during her tenure as leader and what led her to this point in Templars.

Moon originally joined Templars on December 19, 2021, after a brief stint in Secret Service, lured in by promises of Robux giveaways. Following controversy within the army, which ultimately culminated in the retirement of Xing, Moon was granted the position of Grand Prior on March 5, 2023. After only a year within the army, she found herself leading alongside Nicky3070 and Dawnables, gaining valuable experience and many hard-fought battles against Special Weapons and Tactics, the Rebel Penguin Federation, and the Elite Guardians. Moon, alongside her two co-leaders, managed to steer the Knights through the nadir of the army, guiding it to a point of stability and prominence.

Templars Event led by Moon and Nicky

Following her retirement on June 5, 2024, citing college as the reasoning behind her stepping down, Moon would return once more to claim the crown of Grand Prior. Being brought in to once more stabilise the army, she did not intend to stay for too long, yet continued to show her leadership prowess in guiding the Knights through Christmas Chaos XIV and Legends Cup XV. Recently, on October 25, 2025, Moon posted an announcement in the Templars Discord server detailing her immediate retirement from Templars after 3 years of being in the army. She gives her love to the army, then commands both troops and the new leaders, Borapenguin and Zez to treat each other well – specifically mentioning the latter two to “lead as if you were bound together by the heart and soul”.

Moon’s Retirement Announcement

Club Penguin Army League reached out to Moon to ask her some further questions about her retirement from the Templars.

You’ve been in Templars for 3 years up to this point, what was your favourite memory from your time within the army?

Moon: It’s challenging since there’s been plenty of fun moments during my time. I’d definitely say either my leadership with Nicky and Dawn, or my leadership with Echo, Billy, Caracal, etc.

Do you have any regrets from your previous times leading?

Moon: My only regret is not cherishing the moments for a bit longer. That and letting people’s attacks on my leadership effect me

What is your best advice for anyone wishing to lead an army?

Moon: I can’t give any specific advice, but I’d definitely say to always split up the work amongst your co-leaders & to always look for ways to improve. Whether it be leading during battles or recruitment methods, never stay stagnant.

What was your motivation for leaving Templars after all these years?

Moon: Honestly, it was demands in my personal life (studies, etc.) cutting into my time and energy for Templars. It’d be unfair for me to hold a leadership position knowing that I couldn’t fulfill my duties adequately. If others could step down for the same reason, I don’t see why I couldn’t. Also I’m just getting way too old for all of this.

Do you have any messages for the templars or the community as a whole?

Moon: To Templars: Keep pushing forward, do not heed what they say about Templars

We would like to thank Moon for her answers, as well as for all the years she has invested into armies and Templars. The army and community would not be who they are today without her, and we all wish her well in her future endeavors. It seems that more leaders are continuing to step down – possibly marking an entirely new generation of leaders. Fresh faces for the community that will have their own creative ideas on how to run things. Will they continue to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, or will we see the community undergo extreme transformations as these older leaders leave? Let us know what you think in our Discord server!
