As we soon begin to celebrate the holiday spirit, the Club Penguin Army League is excited to announce a brand new and innovative tournament set to take place this November.

This tournament follows the steps of the tournament hosted in 2021, named Project: Conquest, a map-based tournament. The same concept will be implemented in Project: Frontlines, but with a few exciting tweaks.
How It Will Work
Project: Frontlines will host the first team-based tournament, a new initiative for creativity and innovation, and also bigger strategic elements. Armies will be split into two teams, red and blue, as a commemoration of the old Color Wars. Instead of there being one giant continent, there will be two for both teams. Each army will select a land in their continent to commence, and once they hit the frontlines, the real battle begins.
Additionally, your spawn on the map needs to be at least one land piece space from your teammate. Armies will be given a 1-day grace for Freeland invasions. There will be no capital servers, no war declarations, treaties, or transfers. All you need to do is schedule an invasion on the other team.

This will be the official map for Project: Frontlines, the blue team on the left, and the red team on the right. Armies will only be allowed to invade land adjacent to you. You may ask, how can my army invade the other team? That is where Frontline Land comes into place.

Once your army steps into this zone, you will have the ability to jump into the other continent by invading freeland or an opponent army. However, remember that your army will also be vulnerable to invasion, so proceed with caution.
Remember, your team is also there to help on the frontlines. That’s right, the teams can assist each other in attendance only. Regarding invasions, an army may only be invaded by one army at a time. Likewise, you may schedule one invasion at a time. The participating armies cannot invade or be invaded on the main map until the tournament is concluded.
Armies will need to theme their outfits after their team’s colors, and are also encouraged to use Christmas-themed army uniforms and land pieces. The standard Club Penguin Army League land renaming rules apply. Additionally, armies will need approval from the Administration for the outfit change for tournament use.
Official Rules & Information
- An army must need to win at least 3 battles in this tournament to be handed a trophy, considering if their team wins of course.
- Armies can only invade adjacent land, or lands that both share a coastline.
- Teamed armies may attend for one another.
- Teamed armies cannot invade each other. An army also cannot transfer or drop land. All land must be obtained either via freeland or direct enemy invasion.
- Armies will only be allowed to schedule one invasion at a time. Once that invasion is over, they can immediately schedule another.
- Armies cannot be invaded by two separate armies at the same time. If an army is being invaded by another army, they cannot be scheduled on until said invasion is declared finished by the judges.
- If two armies schedule on an army at the same time, only the army that posted their invasion first will have their invasion go through.
- Armies are only allowed to schedule invasions once the tournament map opens (Saturday, November 15, 12:00 am EST).
- Armies cannot schedule battles which will take place after the deadline (Friday, November 29, 11:59 am EST).
- Armies must schedule their battles 24 hours in advance.
- The maximum amount of time an army can schedule in advance is 25 hours.
- Treaties, N.A.P’s, alliances do not apply in this tournament – anyone can attack anyone that isnt their teammate.
- The invading army must have at least 10 members present for UK and US invasions OR 5 members present at AUSIA invasions at any point of the invasion in order for it to be valid, including free land invasions.
- The minimum number of troops for a valid defense is 5 (AUSIA) and 10 (UK/US). If an army fails to reach this at the end of room one then the battle concludes.
- If the defending army does not show up, the invading army will be declared victors after they have remained online for the full length of room 1, which is 10 minutes.
- There will be no freeland cap.
- Opposing army leaders must be informed of the invasion with a ping of their leaders in the invasion scheduling channel alongside the posting of the invasion.
- Reviews can only be submitted if the land in question is an army’s final piece of land.
- Leaders cannot request a review after 3 hours from the summaries being posted and they cannot submit evidence more than 10 hours after requesting a review (videos should be submitted as soon as possible).
- Head Judges must inform both armies about the review and if it is going ahead as soon as possible.
- The deadline for the Head Judges to review the battle will be 24 hours after the evidence deadline.
- If a judge is not available, a neutral party should record the event.
- Dual-enlisted members must choose one army in which they hold an active rank to represent during the tournament. Members must stick with the one army for the duration of the tournament, even after an army is eliminated.
- Armies that aren’t participating in the tournament are NOT allowed to attend for any of the participating armies.
- The judging will be undertaken by Club Penguin Army Judges and organized by the Head Judges. CPAJ rules apply
- All armies have a right to veto one judge per battle. Once an army has vetoed one judge, it cannot decline any more for that battle.
- All CPAJ and CPAB rules apply.
- Standard CPAL battle rules apply. (No multi-logging, toxic tactics, doxxing, ddosing, or mass reports)
- Anybody banned from Battleground cannot participate in tournament battles (including but not limited to attending on alts, leading from Discord or other third-party websites, etc.). If found guilty of violating this rule by the administrator discretion, the army they are involved with will be disqualified.
- Armies would need to theme their uniform around their team’s main color (red or blue).
If both teams are still standing after the deadline, the team with the most amount of land on the map wins. Once an army is eliminated by losing all their land on the map, they cannot assist their team in the tournament anymore. If the two teams end up tied with the same amount of land, they will undergo the Colors War battle, with both teams consisting of all armies, initiating a final battle to determine the winner. The two teams will still have the option to initiate this battle regardless of the results for fun purposes (will not affect the final results).
Armies that win at least 3 battles in this tournament, within the winning team in the tournament, will be handed the trophy. This is a step to filter out armies that are idle on the map.
