The CPA Legends Committee: Outdated, Corrupt, and Deceiving.

With it being the time of year when Army Legends come together to discuss potential future legends, you can put your money on there being someone who will do anything to cling to power or do something bold enough out of spite while maintaining a deceiving image of transparency to the community.

For years the legends of the army community have gathered, discussed and voted on what members of the community have earned their right to the title of Club Penguin Army Legend. Despite the title of Army Legend becoming nearly meaningless in recent years with the rather questionable inductions of figures such as Mr Max (Queen Max, Max43810), long-standing members of the community such as myself still try to uphold the value of the title of Army Legend, rather than allowing it to be passed out to people because they’re friends or are owed a favor for past actions, or contrarily, are voted against because they’re not a friend, or have done personal harm in the past.

The committee in previous years has had stand-still “Committee Heads” that, in truth, were never voted into their positions, were self picked & never rotated as they should be. The likes of Mchappy & Iceyfeet fronted the committee for years despite not a soul voting them into such positions, Mchappy then chose to hand over the power to DMT & Orange (A Small army legend), two people who also were not voted into this position.

Although Mchappy who has become corrupted by power in recent years, supposedly handed over the reigns of the committee to two new faces, it is evident that the power still lies with Mchappy himself as in the week just passed, I, Epic101, was removed from the Army Legends Committee without any notification or reasoning.

The Removal

Initially, I thought the committee was being reformed and a new server had been made, so I did not think much into it. However, as I am a respected legend in the community who carried & revived the community on their back from 2018-2020, I was informed that this was not the case, and I had been removed for “using a slur”.

I found this one particularly amusing. Edu14463, who’s army or even character wouldn’t exist without me & the Army League, was shouting for me to stay removed. A boy who can’t move on from the past, that, as a matter of fact, started almost every unnecessary confrontation & argument in the previous years’ discussions, is some how still welcomed to sit on this Legends Committee.

More Lies

Following an enquiry by multiple army legends into my removal, committee head, DMT, then stated that I was actually removed for “conduct during last year’s discussions detrimental to their productivity.” It soon became apparent not only to myself, but to other legends of the community that this was certainly not a reasonable removal, it was in fact a targeted attack out of nowhere.

Mustapha10, a notable figure both from original Club Penguin Armies & Private Server Armies, was fronting the enquiry into my removal and pressed DMT, The committee head, for an answer or proof of the detrimental conduct that I supposedly caused. Not only was he doing this to figure out about my removal, he was doing this to keep discussions from being impacted this year like they supposedly were last year. The question was also raised that if I was so detrimental to discussions last year, why was nothing said or done about it at the time? DMT failed to answer and ignored the lines of questioning.

DMT then sent me a direct message on discord, stating the same thing he had said to Mustapha and other legends of the committee.

Once again, DMT chose to not reply to my questions.

Farcical Transparency & Racism

The Army Legends Committee has provided the community with the false impression that it is open and transparent with the community at all times, however, this is evidently not the case. With Committee Heads that are not voted into their positions and no term limits, Legends being dismissed from the committee without reason (or falsified reason) and racism from committee heads, such as Orange (As seen below) – is the current Legends Committee set up really all that trustworthy and honest?

Pictured above is Orange questioning my race over a message that evidently wasn’t sent in a racist tone or manner. My skin tone should not be discussed or questioned over the internet by the head of the Legends Committee.

Going Forward

The Army Community deserves a better system for inducting new Army Legends. The current system and people at the helm of the Legends Committee are corrupt, liars, and racists. The people who head the current committee are the same ones that criticized the Army League in 2018-2020 for being a “dictatorship”. These hypocrites were all for democracy for the people until it came to them getting a sniff of any sort of power in the community, and it has become extremely evident in this case.

Mchappy who supposedly handed over the reigns as the Head of the Committee, was brought up as the reasoning for my removal as me and him had prior disagreements and arguments in the community over different issues. He threw in his two pence and it appears our suspicions were correct. It appears that Mchappy had some sort of involvement in my removal from the committee. We aren’t sure why this bitter weird guy (girl, it, thing?) has such a hatred towards me, but hopefully all will be resolved upon the release of this and other posts surrounding the 2024 Legends Committee.

As a result of everything I have outlined above, I am calling for a brand new committee to be created. There should be actual transparency and not the bullshit spewed year in & year out by the same committee heads that never change because any loss of power to them is detrimental to their bodily functions.

A new committee should have rotating committee heads that are voted into their position every year, rather than power hungry ex-small army leaders who, quite frankly, have achieved quite little in their long careers & time in the community, continuously maintaining their status as monarchs or heads of the committee. It should be transparent and open with the community being able to view discussions, with only the votes being anonymous.

The committee should be open to all legends, with none being disregarded or pushed out because of their past or because of previous disagreements or arguments. If one is self serving or clearly corrupted by outlying factors with the intentions to ruin the process or put the values of Army Legend & a position on the committee into disrepute, only then should their removal be put to a vote with the rest of the committee.

The Legends Committee should also work along side the Army Wiki & provide info to major media websites in order to provide updates and news in relation to the results of the inductions. The committee should not be a part of a media site or ran by people who are running media sites.

As I currently have the support of a large number of major army legends from over the years, a new Legends Committee will be formed if the current issues are not rectified or responded to.

The CP Army Community deserves better.

Merry Christmas.
