Following the retirement of Logical, we see a new face take the lead for the Void Troops. These last few weeks saw many changes within the Void Troops, and so we will look more into how Zekrome rose to the rank.
The Void Troops are a fairly new army, created this year on April 27 by Logical. The army experienced a busy summer, competing against several other armies and tournaments. As such, their presence was felt throughout the community, holding them as a formidable force this year. The army also saw multiple changes in its hierarchy, most recently the retirement of Logical.
As the creator of the army announced his resignation, a new name now takes the spotlight. Zekrome, who joined armies in February 2025, was recruited into the Doritos and eventually rose to the staff ranks. However, his appearance in DCP was short-lived, as the army saw a shutdown a couple of months later.
Recent Void Troops event
Zekrome ended up joining the Void Troops in hopes of making a name for himself and striving for greatness. That certainly was the case, as he rose very quickly in the higher command ranks, gaining the attention of the leaders. Undoubtedly, his service in the army demonstrated his strong capabilities, and on October 12, he was announced as the newest member of the Void Troops leadership.

Club Penguin Army League reached out to Zekrome for an interview to gain more insight about the future of Void Troops.
How do you feel about your promotion to leader?
I am thrilled. This was a position that I had aimed for since joining the ranks, and I feel great to have achieved it in less than two months.
What plans do you have for Void Troops in the near future?
Short-term plans include achieving major army status. My ultimate goal is to gradually prepare all of our US, EU, and AUSIA divisions to become more powerful and consistent.
As Void Troops unregistered from CPA league, how does Void Troops plan to move forward under your leadership?
With the recent dilemma, the plan is to focus on Void Troops first and foremost regardless of whichever league, and the current plan is to rebuild and surpass the previous leadership.
With the next generation of Void Troops stepping in, will we see the army go back to its previous sizes?
Previous sizes? Man, I intend to surpass it by building a superpower army.

Despite all, we could see the Void Troops remain focused on their objective to remain a force to be reckoned with. With Zekrome as the new leader, we could see a good shift in the army’s future. Only time would tell if we can see the great return of Void Troops into the competitive zone. Do you think Zekrome will bring VT to its glory days again? Do you think VT will return to major?
