On December 26th, both Stv and Doopus promptly announced their retirements with no further explanations, leaving Berlim to take charge. We will explore the reasons behind this decision and what the future holds for the army in more detail.
The Penguin of Agartha are a relatively new army in the community, being created on April 5th, 2025, by Berlim. They went on to be a stable s/m army in the community, partaking in many wars on armies such as the Void Troops and Crimson Sovereign. POA are no strangers in tournaments, as they have participated in various ones this year, such as the October Horrors and Summer Blitz, being a heavy contender in both.
Recently, the Agarthians saw a huge inactivity spike, as it has been a couple of weeks since they have hosted an event. Despite the induction of both Stv and Doopus to leadership, the army noticed quite a struggle as we entered December this year. This ultimately led to the return of Berlim to leadership, as on December 22nd, he announced his official return.
What bizarrely happened just a few days later was the retirement of the two leaders on December 26th, marking an end to the duo leadership. Not much has been explained about the reasons why this has happened, although it is speculated that the lack of available time may have prevented the two from committing as leaders.
Club Penguin Army League reached out to both Stv and Doopus for an interview about their retirements. Stv yet to respond.
What was the reason you decided to retire?
Doopus: i believe that it was time for me to move on from penguins of agartha, since not only do i have reduced time to spend on cpa due to uni work, j*b, and irl stresses, but i’ve also been becoming increasingly stressed and on edge over CPA (yes CPA
) since the constant lack of activity from myself (due to the reduced time) caused me to enter a cycle that only perpetuated it further
What was your favorite moment from being a leader in POA?
Doopus: i think anytime we have a 10+ max is a pretty good feeling irrespective of if most of the troops in the event are allies/visitors.. but if i had to pin a moment down, it would be our battle against fire vikings during summer blitz
Any advice to people who wish to be a leader someday?
Doopus: lowkey just keep at it… show that you’re competent, and you can make it to leadership.. in all honesty i was just a leader of some random s/m army, but if you wanna be a major army leader, just lock in w/ recruiting, befriending others (like current leaders and whatnot), and just be amicable overall

It has certainly been a rocky road for the Agarthians the last few weeks, though, with the return of Berlim and his full commitment to the army, we could see the army come back to life.
