On April 3rd, the recently formed Abyssal Tides announced closure by Denizmyn just a month after rebranding. In this post, we will go over all the details and reasons regarding what led to that decision, why it has been reverted, and the retirement of Denizmyn.

Recent Background
The Abyssal Tides of Club Penguin is an army founded on March 4th, 2026. It traces its origins to the Tsunamis of Club Penguin, which were established on December 25th, 2025, by Denizym.
Denizym’s journey in building the army was far from easy. In its early stages, the Tsunamis faced significant challenges, including raids and defacements, alongside pressure from forces such as the Crimson Sovereign and, more recently, the Teutons. Despite these obstacles, the army persisted until February 25th, when Denizym announced a shutdown and merger with the Fire Vikings, marking the end of that generation.

However, the closure was short-lived. Just one day later, Denizym announced the army’s return under a new identity. On March 4th, 2026, the Abyssal Tides held their first official event, symbolizing a fresh beginning.
Under the leadership of Denizym and Tokenlinenz, the army quickly re-established itself within the political landscape. On March 8th, they notably confronted the Teutons with the support of several allies. Their resilience and determination allowed them to overcome early adversity, earning consistent placements on the Top Ten rankings as a small-to-medium-sized army.

Announcement of Shutdown ─ and “Unshutdown”
On April 3rd, Denizym unexpectedly announced the shutdown of the Abyssal Tides. The decision was met with mixed reactions internally—while many members were saddened, others, including Elite888 and Mafia, expressed frustration. Due to the backlash, the shutdown was ultimately reversed, though Denizym stepped down from his role as commander.
Not long after, TropicSTORM joined the leadership, reinforcing the army’s continued activity. With Tokenlinen, TropicSTORM, and Klombe now at the helm, the Abyssal Tides entered a new phase of leadership, signaling a more stable path forward and the potential for continued prominence within the community.

Club Penguin Army League reached out to Abyssal Tides leader TropicSTORM for a statement on the future of the army.
TropicSTORM: With the recent inactivity from Abyssal Tides, I had decided to step up to leadership to improve the state and also make it one of the greatest armies. I promise that we will NOT be defaced, as that has been a big problem with ATCP and also declining of members & motivation. I plan to change that, as I will constantly improve things for the army such as adding more events daily, and making sure that everyone can trust our server and doesn’t have to worry with a defacement. I plan to add more events, and increase activity by adding tactics from other successful armies and turning it into something new, and could work. Our staff team will be mainly improved and is the main focus right now, and along with how our ranks work & are organized as there has been some small problems such as not being active & mostly our promotion system. ATCP will grow under my wing, and I will propose many new things to the army to grow and getting more members, and soon we will be the best of the best there is & show everyone the true power of the Abyssal Tides. I hope that this leadership journey can go well for me, and make sure that every member enjoys being in this army & have an amazing experience in this army.
In summary I plan to use my skills and experience for good and make everlasting memories, and follow the main goals and do what Abyssal Tides needs. This will be the start of a new era for ATCP. I hope that everyone can see that I changed & I’m not the same person as before.
Despite the rocky roads the Abyssal Tides faced, their will and determination to carry on always prevailed. With changes in the structure of the new team, the leadership is confident in the path the army will take. Do you think the Abyssal Tides will reach new heights soon? Or will they not reach the expectations?
