A shocking announcement comes from Void Troops, as their creator Logical announces his retirement from the army. We will be looking into what motivated his resignation, as well as what plans the army has in the future to live up to his enigmatic spirit.
Early Beginnings
Logical gained much recognition in the community from his time leading Special Weapons and Tactics in 2022, before resigning to create the Penguins of Madagascar in 2023 alongside co-leader Rye Bread. He continued his reign of leading some of the more infamous armies with the Secret Service and Doritos of Club Penguin in 2024, reaching first place in the CPA top ten multiple times, with the highest max he achieved being 90. However, most recently, he is known for founding Void Troops on April 27, 2025.

In the opening post, Logical stated that VT was ‘a new force ready to make its mark on the Club Penguin army community’. No lie was spoken, as they quickly gained notoriety for their aggressive expansion. Void Troops waged several wars, notably against SWAT, Doritos, and Templars, all under the watchful gaze of its creator, Logical.
On October 7, Logical posted a surprise announcement declaring that he will be stepping off the Hollow Throne. He assured that he will remain to pass the torch to the next generation of leaders, ensuring a smooth transition. Logical also teased the induction of a new leader to join the Hollow Throne alongside Kira, Apryl and Antman soon.
Recent Void Troops event
October 12 marked the official retirement of Logical, in an event maxing a total of 23 online. Many people attended to honor the creator of the Void Troops, marking an important event in their history. The announcement also saw the promotion of Zekrome to the Hollow Throne.

For more insight into Logical’s retirement, Club Penguin Army League reached out to VT leaders Apryl, Kira, and Antman to ask how they feel the army will cope after he leaves.
With Logical retiring from VT, do you think the army will continue to live up to his legacy?
Apryl: i do, i trust our hcom and all of us have a lot of respect for logical
Kira: yes i think its completely possible we have a strong team of people who are ready to being the army back up to its prime
Antman: Logical played a big part in the overall success the army had. Each war proposal, every new hire, and the majority of the big changes were all his doing for the first few months. More recently, we’ve been transferring the reins over to what we like to call VT’s 2nd generation of leaders. I think they’ll continue Logical’s legacy and produce similar if not better results in the long run. Logical’s retirement leaves a huge hole that will need to eventually be filled. It just depends on who in VT’s leadership is willing to take on that role.
What impact will his retirement have on the army?
Apryl: i think he will be missed by everyone, but he wont be gone forever and it establishes what happens to former leaders in vt as they retire
Kira: it’ll definitely be a change seeing as he created the army, but i think because he still present in a advisory manner it wont be as major of a change
Antman: I don’t believe VT will be on the offensive as much as it used to be. He played a big part in our war drive, and unless someone fills that role, the army will most likely be a bit more passive overall.
We know already he’s alluded to promoting someone else to leader to aid you, so what kind of person do you want to sit on the Hollow Throne with you three?
Apryl: id want someone who knows how to work with a team and realizes leading isn’t something you can do alone, you need co-leaders
Kira: im 80 percent sure i already know who it is but i want someone who is just as motivated as logical in a leadership role with us which hopefully happens
Antman: Anyone but Logical is cool with me. Jk but someone who has a good work ethic and is willing to put in the extra hours to make VT the best it can be. We’ve had a great group dynamic in our HCOM, I’m hoping that continues going forward
Can you give any information for what could be in the plans for VT following Logical’s retirement?
Apryl: i dont know whats going on half the time im applying to colleges and stuff. they wanna build up the army to a stable s/m since we’re on a hiatus
Kira: recently we have dropped to s/m so our goals are to begin hosting regular events today and rebuild internally following it while also training up new leadership and making sure we have a strong hcom team
Antman: Training up the new up and coming leaders to eventually take over for the rest of us. We’re trying to usher in a new age and feel to VT. We think the group of people who will be taking over eventually will do a great job with the army and keep its legacy going.

Logical has left a mark on many armies, which will be difficult for anyone else to replicate. All future leaders of the army will be looking to replicate his success and lead VT to even greater heights. Do you think VT will return to its peak with new leadership?
